Hamza Ali Abbasi explains why he doesn’t consider himself a born Muslim
Pakistan's renowned actor and host, Hamza Ali Abbasi, recently shared in a podcast that he considers himself a conscious Muslim rather than a born Muslim.
During his appearance, Abbasi openly discussed his personal life and beliefs. In response to a question, he explained that while he was born into a Muslim family, he sees his current religious life as the result of his own conscious decision to understand and practice Islam.
Abbasi mentioned that after studying various religions, he chose Islam because he found it to be the most logical and spiritually fulfilling.
He emphasized that he is not a religious scholar, but he practices and shares the parts of Islam that he believes to be intellectually and spiritually true.
He further explained that his journey towards understanding religion was not triggered by any major life event but was a result of his natural curiosity about the world, the afterlife, and the concept of accountability in the hereafter.
He believes that simply being born into a Muslim family is not enough; it’s essential to consciously follow and understand the teachings of Islam. This is why he explored multiple religions before embracing Islam.
