he hair of several students was forcibly cut on Friday as punishment for violating the madrassa's standard operating procedures (SOPs) at the Jamia Iman Madrassa located in Sulaimaniya Colony.
The incident came to light when Aziz Mukhtar, the father of one of the affected students, alerted Rescue 15, reporting that a teacher had not only cut the children's hair but had also subjected them to physical punishment.
A team led by SHO Ghulam Muhammadabad Sheikh Shoaib and constable Yasin arrived at the scene to initiate an inquiry and take appropriate action. Zubair Yusuf operates the madrassa where the incident occurred. The SHO confirmed that the Qari had enforced the SOPs by cutting the students' hair, and the situation had since been de-escalated.
A spokesperson for the police department noted that further action would be contingent upon receiving an official complaint or request from those involved.
