Chicago rapper Lil Durk, born Durk Derrick Banks, is now facing two new felony charges related to an alleged murder-for-hire plot, according to federal authorities.

The latest indictment charges Durk with conspiracy and using interstate facilities to aid in the murder of Saviay’a Robinson, cousin of rapper Quando Rondo. The incident, which took place in August 2022, involved a shooting outside a Los Angeles gas station near the Beverly Center.

Federal prosecutors claim that Durk, allegedly linked to his Only The Family (OTF) associates, financed their travel to California, where the group reportedly tracked Rondo’s car before the fatal shooting. Officials suggest the hit was a retaliatory act following the 2020 death of OTF rapper King Von in Atlanta, after a confrontation with Quando Rondo's crew.

Durk, along with five co-defendants, has been detained since October. They are expected to be arraigned in federal court in Los Angeles in the coming weeks. The Department of Justice is handling the high-profile case, treating Durk as a central figure in the alleged operation.
