Basma Siddiqui, passed away on Monday after a long battle with cancer
A former staffer of The Express Tribune, Basma Siddiqui, passed away on Monday after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her daughter, husband, and other family members.
Joining the organisation in July 2012, Basma worked on the print desk before eventually becoming a news editor for the web desk. A dedicated and hardworking colleague, she was affiliated with the organisation till April 2021.
Funeral prayers were offered at 9 pm on Monday at Masjid-e-Farooq-e- Azam in North Nazimabad. In this time of grief, her former colleagues and the staff at The Express Tribune offer their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
