The price of 24-karat gold has dropped by Rs.500 per tola, now standing at Rs.283,200 compared to the previous trading price of Rs.283,700.
According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also fell by Rs.429, settling at Rs.242,798 from Rs.243,227. Meanwhile, the price of 10-gram 22-karat gold decreased to Rs.222,565, down from Rs.222,958.
Silver prices, however, remained unchanged. The price of per tola silver remained at Rs.3,430, while the price of 10 grams was recorded at Rs.2,940.67.
In the international market, the price of gold dropped by $5, now trading at $2,736 per ounce. Despite the drop in global gold prices, local markets showed stability in silver prices.
In today’s intra-day trading session, the Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a modest rise, with the current index 92,168.60, marking an increase of 230.60 points or 0.25%.
The trading day opened with the index peaking at 92,514.30, dipping to a low of 91,536.09.Total of 244,630,758 shares exchanged.
The previous close was at 91,938.00. The total value of shares traded amounted to 19,300,027,733.
