Adam22 releases track 'Free Durk' after Lil Durk's arrest, fans react: "Bro forgot to add the flow"
American YouTuber Adam22 released a new song titled Free Durk on his channel on November 4, 2024. This track follows the recent arrest of rapper Lil Durk on October 24, facing alleged murder-for-hire charges.
The Chicago rapper has been held on federal charges, accused of involvement in a supposed conspiracy to murder fellow rapper Quando Rondo. Durk's arrest occurred shortly after five members of his label, Only The Family (OTF), were detained by federal agents on similar charges.
Fans on X shared mixed reactions to Adam22's new track, with some expressing both criticism and support. One user commented, "I loved the part where the song ends...."
Another fan wrote, "Adam please just stop bro. This fall off is horrendous," while others joked with remarks like, "Bro forgot to add the flow," and "Stay out the studio." Meanwhile, some fans enjoyed the track, calling it a "banger."
One fan commented, "Banger," while another said, “This guy! …. Well it’s not bad actually," and a third added, "Hardest track with sus rhymes of the year!!"
Other reactions included remarks like, "I understand you now. It's a humiliation kink," and, "We live in a simulation."
Lil Durk, born Durk Devontay Banks, was taken into custody by federal agents on October 24, 2024, under murder-for-hire allegations. His arrest came alongside the detention of five other OTF members on the same charges.
These individuals are accused of conspiring in a 2022 murder-for-hire plot targeting Quando Rondo's cousin, Saviay'a Robinson, in Los Angeles. The federal case affidavit against Lil Durk was based on testimony from FBI agent Sarah Corcoran.
According to Forbes, the affidavit claimed that the Chicago rapper placed a bounty on Quando Rondo. It referenced anonymous witnesses and reportedly included flight tickets and credit card transactions linked to Durk and his label as evidence.
