The district administration on Wednesday sealed a stone crushing plant in Abbottabad for serious violations of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Abbottabad Additional Assistant Commissioner, Sanai Fatima, along with her team conducted a detailed inspection of the crushing plant, found violations of the Mining Act and safety protocols and sealed the plant.
After the complaints of various illegal activities and violations of safety rules reported at the plant, the AC and her team inspected the equipment and operations inside the plant and found evidence of illegal activities and disregard for safety norms.
The district administration has made it clear that strict action will continue against those who violate the Mining Act and required SOPs. The authorities have asked the crush plant owners to fully comply with the guidelines and laws regarding environmental and social impacts.
The DC has warned that strict action will be taken against any industry or individual who violates the rules, saying the district administration is ensuring that the industrial activities are carried out in accordance with the government rules and principles of environmental protection to maintain the beauty of the area and the health and safety of the public.
