Local gold rates drops for second day in a row
The price of gold in local markets has experienced a significant decline, following a drop in international gold prices.
On Friday, the price of 24-carat gold per tola fell by Rs2,500, bringing it down to Rs284,700.
This decrease in local prices is attributed to a decline in the international bullion market, where the price of gold per ounce fell by $25, reaching $2,752.
Consequently, the price of gold per ten grams also decreased by Rs2,144, settling at Rs244,084.
In addition to gold, silver prices in the local market also saw a decrease.
The price of silver per tola dropped by Rs20, now standing at Rs3,430, while the price for ten grams of silver decreased by Rs17.14, reaching Rs 2,940.67.
Yesterday, the price of 24-carat gold in Pakistan decreased by Rs700, bringing it down to Rs287,200 per tola.
In the international market, gold prices also experienced a decline, decreasing by $7 to $2,777 from $2,784.
The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also fell by Rs600, now standing at Rs246,228, compared to Rs.246,828 earlier. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22 karat gold decreased to Rs.225,709 from Rs.226,259.
In contrast, silver prices saw an increase. The price of per tola silver rose by Rs100, reaching Rs3,450, while the price of 10 grams of silver went up by Rs85.73 to Rs2,957.81. One gram of silver is now priced at Rs.311.22.
