Selena Gomez cast her vote in the 2024 U.S. Presidential election before heading to the premiere of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place on October 29. The comedy series is a sequel and spin-off of her popular Disney show, Wizards of Waverly Place.

Gomez posted a video on social media, telling fans she was on her way to the premiere. However, she made time to vote along the way. The clip showed her placing her ballot in the box and holding up her “I voted” envelope. In the video, the singer wore a red dress, which she was also seen wearing at the premiere later that night (October 29).

Fans reacted to Gomez’s video on X, with some speculating that her red dress hinted at a vote for Republican candidate Donald Trump, given his campaign's prominent use of red MAGA hats. An X user wrote: "She's wearing red so you know her vote!"

"i feel like she supports trump," a user alleged.

"Selena is always on the right side of history," another fan opined.

"she definitely voted for trump," another netizen suggested.

Fans continued to discuss who Gomez might be supporting in the election.

"Notice she didn’t show who. She’s dark Maga now too. Times are changing bros," another netizen alleged.

"Could the dress color and purse color hint that she’s voting for trump?" asked an X user.

Other fans suggested she voted 'blue,' possibly supporting Kamala Harris, as blue is associated with the Democrats. Shortly after voting, Gomez shared a photo of herself at the ballot on her Instagram story with a blue heart.

"and she voted blue too. selena the legend you are," a user wrote.

"red dress to vote blue, queen," commented another fan.

"And voted blue ikdr," another netizen alleged.

Selena Gomez has not publicly shared who she voted for or endorsed any candidate in the 2024 election.
