Affluent families engage in brawl at restaurant

Police register case, nab three people on the spot

To families of high society stooped to exchanging profanities, followed by a slugfest, at a popular restaurant in the upscale DHA Phase VI neighbourhood late Sunday night.

On Sunday night, Darakhshan police station registered a case on a complaint by Shahid Lashari Baloch regarding a dispute between two families at a restaurant in Shahbaz Commercial Area, Defence Phase VI. Police arrested three people at the scene.

The complainant stated in the FIR that he is a bank employee who took his family to a restaurant for dinner. Upon arrival, his family was seated at a table when his sister-in-law got up took a chair from the next table, saying, 'excuse me, is you don't mind,' and offered it to her sister. Suddenly, a woman from another family pushed his sister-in-law and began verbally abusing his family. Other members of that family started beating his sister-in-law's children, while the women assaulted the women in his family. An unknown individual battered his father-in-law, disparaged the women in his family, and injured them. That person then called additional individuals to the scene. Fortunately, police arrived promptly and took Amir Munshi, Khalid Ahmed, and Malik Subhan into custody on charges of fighting.
