Former Pakistan captain and team director Mohammad Hafeez has extended heartfelt congratulations to the national team for their impressive 2-1 series victory over England. Hafeez praised Pakistan's resilience and skill, which culminated in a dominant 9-wicket win in the series decider

This series win marks a pivotal moment for Pakistan, who last won a home Test series over three and a half years ago. After a shaky start with a loss in the first Test, the national team rebounded impressively, a turnaround Hafeez attributed to the bold decisions by Pakistan's new selection panel. On social media, he shared his admiration for the team’s comeback, emphasizing the positive impact of new selectors and applauding their commitment to make “strong decisions” and take responsibility.

"Congratulations team Pakistan on winning a home Test series after more than three years. Well done," Hafeez posted, adding that “Credit to new selectors to turn the table around. Making strong decisions & taking responsibility. Well done.”

In a special acknowledgment, the former all-rounder praised the standout domestic performers such as Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel, Kamran Ghulam, and Shan Masood, who have consistently proven themselves on the domestic circuit. He noted that these players not only shone during the series but also reaffirmed the importance of strong domestic foundations in Pakistan cricket.

"Two faces Sajid khan & Noman Ali with star impactful performances brought home series win for Pakistan after more than 3 years. More Importantly their performances exposed many faces..." suggesting the role of domestic excellence in maintaining competitive standards on the international stage.
