KARACHI: The Karachi Traders Action Committee (KTAC) have given a 48-hour ultimatum to the government for the recovery of a trader who was kidnapped from the Shershah scrap market on Friday. “After consultation with the markets associations all around the city, we have decided that if government fails in recovering Abdul Khaliq, all 580 markets of the city will be shut down completely,” said the president of the committee, Siddiq Memon. He said that traders associations will counter the terrorists and bhatta mafias with all they can. “If there is a law of jungle in this city, then for their own security, traders will now equip themselves with weapons to actually fight with these extortionists,” he said.
