Tom Hardy hints at possible return as Venom despite trilogy ending with ‘Venom: The Last Dance’
As Venom: The Last Dance prepares for release, Tom Hardy, who portrays Eddie Brock and Venom, has hinted that his time as the iconic Spider-Man villain may not be over yet. Speaking with IGN, Hardy expressed his fondness for the characters and his willingness to reprise the role, saying, "I'd play them any time... I feel like a sense of obligation and responsibility and duty of care to those two that will never end."
The upcoming film, slated to release on October 25, marks the third and supposedly final entry in Sony’s Venom series. However, Hardy’s comments suggest that he may not be done with the symbiote. "I’ve loved every moment of Eddie and Venom," Hardy said, reflecting on his time as the character while promoting the film at New York Comic-Con. He also teased a potential crossover with Spider-Man, stating that he is “well up for it" and "never say never" to a future face-off.
While Venom: The Last Dance concludes the trilogy, it introduces more symbiotes, hinting at possible future projects. Director Kelly Marcel has also suggested that this film is “just the beginning” for Knull, a key character. Hardy remains grateful for the experience, stating, "It’s sad in some aspects, but also I feel that we did what we came to do, and we’ve had a great time doing it."
