Diddy's 'I did it' confession resurfaces after sex-trafficking arrest sparks controversy
Seven years before his arrest on sex-trafficking charges, Sean “Diddy” Combs revealed what he wanted his “last words” to be.
This moment took place in October 2017 during the rapper’s appearance on *Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party* on VH1, where he sat with Martha Stewart, Snoop Dogg, La La Anthony, and his former mentee Usher.
The group participated in a game where they each read a card and answered the question.
“Everyone at this table has been forced to make tough decisions and today, it doesn’t get any easier,” Stewart, 83, said as the game began.
During Combs’ turn, he read a card that asked, “When I die, I want my last words to be.”
His response? “I did it” — delivered without hesitation.
Everyone at the table, except Usher, 46, laughed and applauded Combs' answer.
Combs tossed the card into the air and raised his hands as the audience cheered.
The 2017 clip resurfaced on social media after Combs' legal troubles, with new focus on his words, “I did it.”
“That’s a confession,” a fan commented on TikTok.
“This didn’t age well,” another person remarked.
“He did it alright,” someone else wrote.
“Welp technically he didn’t lie,” another fan noted.
One person criticized the celebrities at the table for “laughing” at Combs’ “crazy” statement.
In the video, Usher appeared the least enthusiastic about Combs' answer. Combs had discovered Usher and they lived together in New York during the ’90s when Usher was a teenager.
Usher has not yet commented on Combs’ recent arrest, though in a 2016 interview with Howard Stern, which has resurfaced amid Combs’ legal issues, he did discuss Combs’ wild parties.
“It was pretty wild. It was crazy. There were very curious things taking place and I didn’t necessarily understand it,” Usher said.
