Pakistan's Test team batter and vice-captain, Saud Shakeel, has expressed hope that the pitch for the upcoming Test match will resemble that of Multan, which offered favorable conditions for spinners.
Shakeel emphasized that efforts are being made to prepare a spinner-friendly pitch in Rawalpindi, noting the experience of spinner Nauman Ali, who understands how to bowl according to the pitch conditions.
"The pitch is being worked on, and heaters are being used to ensure optimal playing conditions," he explained.
He further stressed the importance of planning for each series, stating, "In my opinion, pitch preparation should be done series by series, ensuring that the conditions suit home advantage."
Shakeel also highlighted the team's determination, saying, "Winning is essential, and the morale of the Pakistan cricket team is high."
The third Test match between Pakistan and England is set to take place in Rawalpindi this Thursday, with the series currently tied at one match apiece.
