MSNBC and other left-wing media outlets are reacting intensely after Donald Trump donned an apron and worked behind the counter at a Pennsylvania McDonald’s over the weekend.

These media outlets criticized the former president’s lighthearted campaign stop in the key 2024 battleground, calling it a “stunt” and “bizarre,” while questioning his mental state and even critiquing his technique for salting french fries — only to face backlash from thousands of online users who mocked their reactions.

“So funny. ‘He’s a threat to our democracy,’ how? By handing Happy Meals?” one X user commented in response to a thread about the GOP candidate’s visit, which garnered over 3 million views.

Another individual added, “‘It’s a stunt’ say the folks who praised Kamala for going to border 4 years too late,” referencing Kamala Harris’ tenure as border czar.

Someone else noted, “Just seeing Trump being a normal person drives the Left crazy.”

Trump handled the fry station and served drive-thru customers at a McDonald’s in Feasterville, Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia, making casual conversation with happy customers and taking jabs at Kamala Harris’ alleged — though unverified — past work for the franchise in the early 1980s.

Other media outlets that typically support the Democrats joined MSNBC in mocking Trump for the campaign event, even as critics slammed their disdain as elitist and disconnected from reality.

Rolling Stone — a far-left publication once known for glamorizing Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev with a rock-star-like cover photo — described Trump’s fast-food stop as “bizarre.”

The New York Times, seemingly missing the point of Trump’s McDonald’s visit, focused on his appearance, criticizing his French cuff shirt and lack of a hairnet while questioning his cooking abilities, saying, “There is scant evidence of Mr. Trump cooking for himself.”

“I can’t believe Donald Trump would stage a photo-op at McDonald’s for political purposes. Who would do such a thing?!” conservative columnist Ian Haworth sarcastically remarked, posting a satirical image of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) appearing emotional at the southern border while dressed in all white.

“Donald Trump putting on a little McDonald’s costume because he thinks that’s what people do,” the "Squad" member Ocasio-Cortez complained at a Harris-Walz campaign event for college students in Pennsylvania. “They’re not trying to empathize with us. They are making fun of us.”
