KARACHI:

The Judicial Magistrate South allowed five-day physical remand of the suspect that brutally murdered his mother, sister, sister-in-law and niece in the Lea Market area of Lyari, and handed him over to the police.

The accused Bilal Kutchi was produced by the police in front of the court of the Judicial Magistrate South in the Karachi City Court.

The court inquired, "What was the reason you killed all these people?" The accused, Bilal, in his statement, said, "These people used to bother me, following which I committed the crime." The court asked, "If they troubled you that much, why didn't you just leave the house? Why was it necessary for you to go to that extent that you killed them?" Bilal responded in his statement, "I only wanted to kill my sister because she was making videos on social media." The court then asked, "So why did you kill everyone else?" Bilal replied, "I killed them so that no evidence would be left behind."

The police had requested for a 14-day remand for further investigation. Investigating Officer Inspector Saeed stated that Bilal had confessed to the crime. The case was registered on the complaint of the head of the household, Muhammad Farooq Kutchi.

The complainant said in his statement, "When I came home, I found all the bodies, and immediately informed the police. When my son arrived, I saw fresh cut marks on his left hand wrist. Upon asking about the cuts, Bilal could not provide a satisfactory answer."

IO Inspector Saeed added that CCTV footage was reviewed, and evidence was found against Bilal. IO said that per Bilal involvement of the women on social media was the motive behind the murder. Bilal purchased a knife from the Napier area and got it sharpened further. The murder weapon, blood-stained shoes, gloves, and other items have been recovered from Bilal.
