Citizens catch, torture alleged snatcher

A suspect, who allegedly snatched a mobile phone from a citizen near the Farzana Dawakhana Dastagir, was caught by public.

The enraged citizens beat him before handing him over to the police, while another robber managed to escape the scene. The arrested robber was immediately transferred to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where he was identified as Tauqeer Ahmed Nazir.

SHO Joharabad Rashid Rahman said the armed robbers were trying to flee after snatching the mobile phone from dairy trader Saqib. His brother followed the robbers crashed his car into their motorcycle, causing both robbers to fall.
