Lawrence Bishnoi to inspire web series: Report

Gangster gets spotlight amid threats to Salman Khan

In a dramatic twist to ongoing events in the Indian entertainment and criminal worlds, reports have emerged that a web series titled Lawrence - A Gangster Story will soon delve into the life of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. According to Hindustan Times, this development comes amidst alarming reports of Bishnoi issuing fresh death threats against Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, raising concerns for the actor's safety.

Bishnoi has recently made headlines following the alleged assassination of politician Baba Siddique and the new threats directed at Salman. As per News18, Jani Firefox Film Production, the studio behind the upcoming series, has received official approval from the Indian Motion Pictures Association for the title. The series promises to explore Bishnoi's transformation into a feared criminal, highlighting the complexities of his life.

Incarcerated since 2014, Bishnoi is known for orchestrating a vast criminal network that spans both India and international borders. Producer Amit Jani expressed his ambition to engage audiences with a compelling narrative, asserting that the series will be a "dramatic and true-to-life story." Jani's previous work includes projects based on real-life incidents, such as A Tailor Murder Story and Karachi to Noida, raising expectations for the authenticity of the upcoming production.

As news of the web series circulates, the situation surrounding Salman has intensified. ANI reports that security measures have been heightened at the actor's residence following new death threats demanding an extortion payment of INR50 million. A threatening message was allegedly sent via WhatsApp to the Mumbai Traffic Police, asserting that if Salman wishes to "stay alive" and end his long-standing rivalry with Bishnoi, he must comply with the financial demand.

The menacing message warned the A lister that failure to meet the demands would lead to consequences worse than those faced by Baba Siddique, who was assassinated on October 12. Authorities have arrested four individuals in connection with Siddique's murder, yet the spectre of violence looms large as the rivalry between Salman and Bishnoi escalates.
