Florida rapper Ralan Styles killed in Ohio during attempted robbery
Rapper Ralan Styles, whose real name was Michael Robinson, was killed during an attempted robbery in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, October 19.
Styles, originally from Tallahassee, Florida, was best known for his viral hit song ‘Baby Shark.’ Reports state that the incident began when a suspect tried to steal Styles’ chain, leading to a violent confrontation. Styles was fatally shot and declared dead at the scene.
Authorities arrested 24-year-old Mahamood Hassan, who has a criminal history, on charges of murder. Hassan has faced previous charges for criminal trespassing and theft.
The news of Styles’ death was confirmed by his brother through a social media post, where he expressed his grief and frustration over the tragic event.
Ralan Styles was recognized for his unique fusion of melodic trap and RnB, gaining popularity in the hip-hop scene. He grew up in the Bay Area, where music surrounded his upbringing, and his sound was influenced by jazz and funk. Styles’ career took off in 2020 with the release of his track ‘Dancing with the Devil.’
