Millions lost in warehouse blaze
A devastating fire ravaged a warehouse near Baldia Town, destroying goods worth millions of rupees. The massive blaze spread rapidly to an adjacent warehouse, prompting a swift response from fire tenders of KMC and Rescue 1122.
Despite facing challenges due to limited access, firefighters broke through walls to combat the inferno, which collapsed the warehouse's cement and steel frame roof. After a grueling two-hour battle, the fire brigade finally brought the fire under control.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported. The warehouse stored cardboard, hosiery, polyester, and other goods that fueled the fire's rapid spread. The adjacent warehouse was also engulfed in the blaze.
A joint rescue operation involving one KMC bowser, two fire tenders, and a Rescue 1122 truck was launched. The full extent of the financial loss will be determined after the cooling process is complete. The cause of the warehouse fire remains unknown, pending further investigation.
