Louis Tomlinson mourns Liam Payne's death, calling him ‘a brother’ in heartfelt tribute
Louis Tomlinson has shared an emotional tribute to his late bandmate Liam Payne, who tragically passed away after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.
Tomlinson, 32, expressed his grief on Instagram, stating, "I am beyond devastated to be writing this but yesterday I lost a brother." He remembered Payne as a positive, funny, and kind soul, highlighting their bond and shared memories from their time in One Direction.
Tomlinson added, "Liam was an incredible songwriter with a great sense of melody... I would have loved to share the stage with you again." He also offered his support to Payne's son Bear, vowing to be there for him in the future.
The One Direction band account also shared a joint statement from the members, saying, "We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing... The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever."
Payne’s family released their own statement, remembering him as a "kind, funny, and brave soul."
