SC to hear objections on tweaks case

ISLAMABAD:

The Supreme Court will hear an appeal against the objections of the Registrar Office on a writ petition challenging the 26th constitutional amendment.

A three-member bench headed by CJP Qazi Faez Isa and comprising Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Shahid Bilal Hasan will hear the appeal.

It is pertinent to mention that the Registrar Office had returned with objections the petition filed by advocate Abid Zuberi challenging the proposed constitutional amendment in the SC. The Registrar Office had termed the petition hypothetical, adding that parliament could not be stopped from making constitutional amendments.
