LAHORE:

Lahore High Court's (LHC) Justice Sultan Tanvir Ahmad sought a detailed report from the authorities concerned on a plea against absence of toilets in public places.

Petitioner's counsel argued before the court that the public used to visit parks, bus stands and other different places but astonishingly enough there are no toilets in these public places.

He argued that the provincial government had assured the court to establish public toilets but now seems reluctant to implement it.

He argued that public toilets are the basic facility but the people have been deprived of them.

The petitioner's counsel requested the court to direct the concerned quarters to construct toilets in public places.
