An elephant lost control during a Dussehra fair in India's Bihar state, causing damage to multiple vehicles and injuring one person.
The animal rampaged through the market area for nearly two hours, with a video showing the elephant trampling cars as it moved through the streets.
The video, which surfaced online, depicted the elephant with three people on its back as it charged into parked vehicles, leaving a trail of destruction. Police arrived at the scene but were unable to control the animal.
Eventually, the elephant was calmed by a trainer (mahout) who guided it to a nearby garden and tied it to a tree. Forest department officials later arrived to assess the situation and ensure the elephant’s safety.
No fatalities were reported, though one person sustained injuries during the incident.
