Dr. DisRespect Says He Would Rather Retire Than Stream on Kick After CEO's Remarks

Dr. DisRespect, a popular YouTube streamer, has stated that he would rather retire from streaming than join Kick, a rival platform, after the company's CEO, Ed Craven, made remarks about the potential "harm" it would cause for the brand to take him in as a partner.

In a post on X, Dr. DisRespect wrote, "I'd retire before considering streaming on Kick." This comes after Craven said that making a deal with Dr. DisRespect would "make zero sense" and would be a "waste of money" due to the controversy surrounding the streamer.

Dr. DisRespect has been accused of engaging in inappropriate conversations with a minor through Twitch Whisper in 2017, and he admitted to doing so in a post on June 25, 2024. Despite this, he has continued to stream on YouTube, although his channel has been demonetized and he is prohibited from earning money through memberships.

Craven's comments were made in an interview, where he said, "Making a deal with Dr DisRespect from a financial and a business perspective right now would make zero sense. It would do more harm for Kick and it would be a waste of money at this point in time is my opinion."

Dr. DisRespect responded to Craven's comments, saying, "My community is the best in the industry… I wouldn’t take it there. There’s a reason why they keep dropping my name. Think about it."
