Azealia Banks has launched a fresh attack on Julia Fox, criticizing her recent claims about feeling like a "pawn" during her short-lived relationship with Kanye West (Ye). The controversy began when Fox reflected on her time with the rapper in an interview with The Sunday Times, expressing regret and calling the experience one of the most uncomfortable moments in her life. Fox, who dated Ye for only a few weeks, stated that the relationship was never physical and that it was his idea to make it public.
Banks, known for her unapologetic remarks, took to X (formerly Twitter) to question Fox's narrative, accusing her of exaggerating her role. "You weren't even on the chessboard, sis," Banks tweeted, suggesting that Fox knew exactly what she was getting into and was simply trying to gain attention. She also mocked Fox for portraying herself as a victim and criticized her for continuing to reference the brief relationship in the media.
"Kanye better learn his lesson about these white girls," Banks continued, further criticizing Fox's motives and accusing her of seeking fame through the high-profile relationship. Banks also accused Fox of heavy drug use, making the confrontation even more explosive.
This isn’t the first time Banks has called out Fox. Earlier this year, Banks questioned Fox’s self-proclaimed status as a “hustler” following her breakup with Ye, asking what exactly she gained from the relationship.
