Andrew Garfield and Dr. Kate Tomas, a self-proclaimed "professional witch" and philosopher, have officially ended their relationship after dating for several months. The news was confirmed by Kate on her Instagram page on October 11 when a fan asked about their relationship status. "We broke up months ago," she responded, adding that Garfield would be happy to know he is loved.
The pair were last seen together in public at the 2024 Wimbledon Tennis Championships in England. Their relationship became public in March when they were spotted holding hands on a double date with Phoebe Bridgers and Bo Burnham.
Though Garfield has not commented on the breakup, Tomas has faced increased public scrutiny since their relationship became known. In July, she criticized the media for focusing on her appearance and the misogynistic nature of the attention she received. She told The Sunday Times, "I don’t want to sit under anybody’s shadow."
Tomas also shared that she used practices like cord-cutting spells and energy protection to reclaim her power and cope with the public's focus on her.
