At the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chinese Premier Li Qiang will begin a bilateral visit to Pakistan on Monday, as reported by Radio Pakistan on Sunday.
Premier Li will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including ministers and senior officials from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the China International Development Cooperation Agency.
During the visit, PM Shehbaz and Premier Li will lead their respective delegations in extensive discussions on all facets of Pakistan-China relations.
These talks will focus on enhancing economic and trade ties, with particular emphasis on cooperation under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The two leaders will also address regional and global developments.
In addition to the discussions, Premier Li is scheduled to meet President Asif Ali Zardari as well as hold talks with parliamentary leaders and senior military officials.
Premier Li’s visit highlights the importance both Pakistan and China place on their all-weather strategic cooperative partnership. It will provide an opportunity for both nations to reaffirm mutual support on core issues, advance the high-quality development of CPEC, and strengthen dialogue on key regional and global matters.
