North West, the daughter of Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) and reality star Kim Kardashian, is stepping into the spotlight with candid revelations about her childhood, faith, and family life.
In a new 'Interview Magazine' Q&A with her mother, North discussed her experiences growing up in the public eye and how she handles life in the spotlight.
Kardashian shared a "fun fact" with readers, mentioning that North "needs the TV on to fall asleep."
North, showing shades of her father’s personality, retorted, "That's not a fun fact." When asked about her feelings on being on camera, North admitted, "I like taking pictures of myself, but I don't like when paparazzi do. When I just woke up and there's so much paparazzi, I'm like, 'Yo, I’m going to sue you.' If I'm ready, if I'm not tired, if my outfit's good, I'm like, 'Okay, I could take a picture.'"
Reflecting on her faith, North shared that she enjoys "spreading the gospel" and helping people find comfort through religion.
"I tell them about god, and how problems get solved if they follow his word and his way." She recounted a special memory from a trip to Italy with her dad and siblings: "It was just us and my siblings, and that's when I really brought them close to god, because we had this house and there were these devil statues, and I was like, 'Mm-mm, mm-mm, no, girl.' I was like, 'We got to pray.' So then I taught Chi, Psalm, and Saint how to pray. God really did his thing after."
When asked about what she wants to be when she grows up, North, who is already fond of art and enjoys her Latin class, said, "I don’t know because I already do a lot of stuff that I want to be when I grow up. I just want to pursue my careers now."
This interview also follows recent news about Ye, as a former employee has filed a lawsuit claiming the rapper used his industry influence to investigate Kardashian and spy on his current wife, Bianca Censori.
Ye and Kardashian, who co-parent four children—North, 11; Saint, 8; Chicago, 6; and Psalm, 5—finalized their divorce in November 2022.
