Teen trapped under train seat rescued

A differently-abled boy traveling solo from Lahore was rescued from the Pakistan Business Train on Wednesday evening after becoming trapped under a seat.

The Pakistan Railways staff promptly sought assistance from Sindh Integrated Emergency and Health Services (SIEHS) 1122. A swift response team arrived, carefully freed the scared and helpless 16-year-old boy, and handed him over to authorities.

"Our team responded immediately, providing comfort and ensuring the child's well-being during this distressing situation. With swift action and compassion, we continue to bring hope and safety to those in need when it matters the most," a SIEHS official emphasised. "This rescue showcases SIEHS's unwavering commitment to saving lives, regardless of circumstances."

The circumstances surrounding how the boy boarded the train remain unclear. Authorities are working to locate his family.
