CCTV footage offers details of deadly attack on CTD DSP

The footage clearly shows the terrorists' recce and execution of the deadly attack on the evening of Sunday July 7.

The Sindh Police Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has clubbed CCTV footages of various security cameras providing critical insight into the tragic incident that led to the martyrdom of CTD DSP Ali Raza.

The footagse clearly shows the terrorists' recce and execution of the deadly attack on the evening of Sunday July 7.

The footage shows one of the suspects, identified as Hafiz Qasim, arriving at Shakeel Corporation on a motorcycle at 6:37pm. A minute later, he disembarks near the crime scene. At the same time, Usman Qureshi, another suspect, passes by on his motorcycle and proceeds to a nearby tea shop, parking his motorcycle before joining Qasim.

Qasim is seen loitering around the area, apparently surveying the vicinity while Usman continues circling the location on his bike. The footage reveals that the attackers were waiting for DSP Ali Raza's vehicle.

At 7:38pm, DSP Ali Raza's vehicle appears on the road, arriving at Shakeel Corporation after taking various routes. Upon spotting the vehicle, the assailant on the motorcycle, Usman Qureshi, turns his bike and rides towards the crime scene.

As soon as Ali Raza's vehicle stops, Qasim rushes forward. The assailant then opens fire on DSP Ali Raza before fleeing the scene.

The commotion caused by the gunshots led bystanders at the nearby tea shop to flee in panic. Qasim was later seen escaping on the motorcycle with Usman Qureshi.

Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
