Three picnickers of a family drown in sea

KARACHI:

Four picnickers belonging to the same family drowned in the sea in Manora on Saturday.

Edhi divers fished out the bodies of a youth and his two sisters while a search for the fourth person was ongoing.

As per details, four persons drowned while swimming in the sea at Hawk's Bay beach. As soon as alerted, police and rescuers, including divers, rushed to the scene and launched a search operation.

After a few hours, they managed to fish out the bodies of two girls and a young man which were subsequently shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.

The deceased have been identified as 24-year-old Moazz, 20-year-old Hafsa, and Hiba, all children of Arshad Imam.

The body of the fourth person, who is believed to be 24-year-old Ghulam Mustafa, could not be found until the filing of this report. Mustafa is said to be the fiancé of Hafsa.

The deceased were the residents of Federal B Area Block 9.

They had gone to the beach for a picnic. The bodies were later handed over to their family.
