A police constable, along with his accomplices, allegedly kidnapped and tortured two men on suspicion of goat theft in Dijkot.
CPO of Faisalabad DIG Kamran Adil took notice of the incident, registering a case against five suspects, including Police Constable Zaheer Ahmed Wahla, who was subsequently suspended. A detailed report on the matter has been ordered.
The incident unfolded after Constable Wahla's goat was reportedly stolen a few days prior. Wahla suspected two men, Zubair and Luqman, of the theft.
Acting on this suspicion, he, along with four others, kidnapped Zubair and Luqman, detaining them at an undisclosed location where they were subjected to torture.
Upon learning of the constable's unlawful actions, CPO Faisalabad ordered his arrest and suspension, emphasising that no individual, especially law enforcement, is allowed to take the law into their own hands.
The CPO has also directed a thorough investigation into the incident to ensure justice is served.
In another incident, six individuals, including two women, allegedly blackmailed minors by taking compromising photographs and holding them captive.
A case was filed by a resident of Chak 3/GB Ram Diwali at Raza Abad Police Station.
The complainant alleged that a distant relative, Hina, lured him to her house under false pretenses. Once there, he was confronted by five other individuals, including Abdul Rehman, Akash Raza, Osman, Bilal, and Farah.
The group assaulted him, stripped him and recorded a video, demanding Rs300,000. They threatened to release the video on social media if he did not comply.
