K-Electric launches its first loyalty programme with rewards for punctual bill payments.

K-Electric has introduced a new discount initiative called the "Star Reward" programme, aimed at customers who consistently pay their bills on time, the company’s spokesperson announced on Thursday, Express News reported.

This initiative is part of K-Electric’s effort to ease the financial burden on consumers and build stronger relationships with its customer base through a redeemable rewards system.

"Given the current economic conditions, offering relief through discounts will not only reduce financial pressure but also build a sense of trust between consumers and the power utility," said the spokesperson.

K-Electric’s "Star Reward" is the first loyalty programme in the country’s power sector. It underscores the company's commitment to supporting communities through innovative solutions.

K-Electric spokesperson Ovais Munshi said that the utility company has become the first in the power sector to launch a loyalty programme to connect with the customers.

“Our initiative is embedded in a philosophy of empowering our customers and encouraging a culture of regular and timely bill payment. The available offers will encourage them to maintain track of bill payments and gain more value through access to discounted healthcare, fitness, and even travel,” he added.

Customers who qualify as "Star" users by paying their monthly bills on time and in full will be eligible for various discounts. These offers, available through the K-Electric Live app, range from lifestyle benefits to discounts on healthcare, restaurants, and entertainment.

According to K-Electric, the discounts are tailored to meet daily customer needs and will be updated monthly, with specific terms and conditions applicable. The programme is designed to run year-round, encouraging customers to keep their bills up to date to qualify.

K-Electric emphasised that the aim of the programme is to incentivise timely bill payments while offering added value through the rewards.
