Sindh initiates Pakistan's first online auction for premium number plates
The Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control Department of the Sindh government has initiated Pakistan's first online auction for premium number plates.
Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announced on social media that the auction for premium number plates will be held in platinum, gold, and silver categories to raise funds for the housing project for flood victims.
All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Sindh People's Housing Project to assist those affected by the floods.
He further stated that this is an important step by the Sindh government towards modern public service. Citizens can register on the website and participate in the online auction to acquire special number plates while contributing to a noble cause.

Interested individuals can also take part by downloading the department's app. The auction registration will remain open for three days.
Previously, in June, the Sindh government hosted its first premium number plate auction at the Pearl Continental Hotel in Karachi, allowing vehicle owners to customize their cars with exclusive and prestigious plates.
This auction featured three categories to accommodate various tastes and budgets. The elite platinum category offered highly sought-after three-character plates, with bidding commencing at a staggering Rs 2 million.
