KARACHI:

One person was killed and three others were injured in an armed clash over the construction of a speed-breaker in Mianwali Colony on Wednesday.

The casualties were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where the dead was identified as 40-year-old Laal Khan, a father of two and marble worker from Manghopir. The injured - named Imran, Talu Khan, and Habibullah - are currently receiving treatment.

Nazar, a brother of the deceased, said that the dispute started over the construction of a speed-breaker on the road outside their home. A few days earlier, a group of men, led by Hakim Khan and Muqadar Khan, had clashed with the family, but community elders intervened to resolve the matter.

However, the next day Hakim, Muqadar, along with some other men, returned to the scene, leading to a heated argument. The situation worsened quickly and the assailants opened fire before fleeing. Four persons, including Laal Khan, were injured and later succumbed to his injuries.
