When a fan suggested that most followers were focused on his music and happiness, Mendes agreed, replying, “& that means so much to me. My human just gets caught up in the drama sometimes.” He also addressed his frustration with recent rumors, writing, “It came from a place of being a little annoyed with all the projection over the last few months about us... lately it’s been kinda bugging me.”
Mendes emphasized the difficulty of being vulnerable online, saying, “It’s pretty intimidating... but I really just care about having a real relationship with you guys.”
These posts come amid speculation that his relationship with Cabello inspired another pop star’s new album.
