KARACHI:

A massive traffic jam crippled city's major and link roads on Tuesday morning, including Sharae Faisal, Karsaz (Stadium Road) and Shaheed-e-Millat Expressway. The chaos was triggered when a garbage dumper broke down on the Baloch Colony bridge.

The broken-down dumper brought traffic to a grinding halt, forming long queues of vehicles and inflicting misery on commuters heading to work. A routine drive became an unexpectedly long journey.

The authorities struggled for three hours to remove the damaged dumper, severely disrupting traffic flow across the affected areas.
