Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched registration of students for the Honahaar Scholarship Programme for higher education.
She stated on the occasion that the programme would ensure access to quality education for all talented and deserving students. "The youth want higher education and better employment. As per requirements of the global job market, scholarships will be given to 30,000 students in 68 disciplines under the Honahaar Scholarship Programme," she said.
The scholarships will be awarded to students of 50 public sector universities, 16 medical colleges and 131 graduate colleges.
