The Foreign Office (FO) announced on Sunday the establishment of a Crisis Management Unit (CMU) to assist Pakistani nationals in Lebanon amid escalating violence following Israel's recent attacks on multiple cities, which have resulted in significant casualties, including the death of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah.

In a statement, the FO confirmed that both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad and the Pakistani Embassy in Beirut are actively working to support citizens affected by the crisis. The newly activated CMU is intended to facilitate communication and assistance for those in Lebanon.

Pakistani nationals in Lebanon and their families are urged to contact the CMU using the following details:

- Landline: 051-9207887
- Email: cmu1@mofa.gov.pk

Additionally, the Pakistani Embassy in Beirut is available 24/7 at these contact numbers:

- Cell/WhatsApp: 00961-81669488, 00961-81815104
- Email: parepbeirut@mofa.gov.pk

Earlier in the week, the Foreign Office had warned against travel to Lebanon, advising Pakistani citizens to refrain from going there until further notice due to the ongoing conflict.

It recommended that those already in Lebanon should utilize available commercial flights to leave the country. For those unable to depart for specific reasons, the FO advised exercising extreme caution and relocating to safer areas.
