Sean “Diddy” Combs is reportedly refusing to eat jail food due to paranoia that he could be poisoned, according to Larry Levine, a former inmate at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, where Combs is being held. Levine, who claims to have a "source" with knowledge of the situation, told NewsNation's Ashleigh Banfield, "Imagine if someone paid someone off on the inside to poison his food, give him a heart attack, and he dies." Levine added that Combs is “really, really paranoid” and “doesn’t know who to trust or what to believe.”

Combs, 54, has been held at MDC since his arrest last week on federal charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to the allegations. The music mogul is reportedly being housed in the same unit as Sam Bankman-Fried, the former FTX founder, who was convicted of fraud in 2023 and sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Levine noted that Combs has received visits from a dietician, a religious figure, and mental health professionals, and is still on suicide watch. He also explained that food in isolation is often served cold and is of low quality. "The food is bland, it's a lot of carbohydrates. It fills you up, but you get sick eating it," Levine said, adding that mold is sometimes found in the food.

Despite his legal team's $50 million bail proposal, Combs was denied bail and remains in custody while awaiting trial. Prosecutors have interviewed over 50 victims and witnesses in connection with the charges, and the number is expected to rise.
