Bebasi actor Ali Rehman set hearts and minds pounding with wonder as he reshared a post by nutrition coach Nusrat Hidayatullah on his Instagram Story, in which the two were captured posing together on a casual hangout. Nusrat's caption read, "You said this cute little picture of us deserved more than just a Story, so here you have it. Love you, fam, bless."
Inquisitive fans soon stormed the coach's comment sections with direct questions regarding the status of their relationship. On most occasions, her reply posed a simple question: "Guess?" Additionally, Nusrat indulged certain compliments with suggestive teasing. "This means Ali is ready for a knockout! Our sister-in-law is an English person," remarked one user, to whom she replied, "I'm Pakistani."
Ali was recently invited on Gup Shup with Fuchsia as a guest. During the interview, he spoke up on his qualms about how marriage is perpetuated in society as a necessity rather than a love-connection. "This pressure persists 24/7, especially with aunties circling you at every gathering! Though, of course it's worse for women since men are granted the leeway of youth," he said, "which is ironic, since a blooming youth has the opposite effect on a woman's life."
"Marriage is a blessing - it is deemed so in our religion. But that level of commitment requires a lot of maturity. You should only get married when you are ready to handle that marriage. It won't work if you're not even ready to handle yourself," the 35-year-old actor insisted.
"Besides, even though this has worked for others around me, I feel that moving in with your joint family is not the way to commence this important phase of your life. A couple must spend a year or two alone, away from relatives, so that they can understand each other better," he urged.
"It is believed that if you get married in your youth, the two of you score the opportunity to grow older together and nurture each other, which is a nice thought," Ali further admitted. "But on the flipside, your develop a stern set of principles the older you get, which can cause problems in your marriage. Tolerances and sacrifices should be made on both ends."
"My conclusion is, there is no right way!" he joked. However, it is evident that the Parchi actor has prepared himself to venture closer to this phase of life, since he now has a special one by his side. Despite the concern for the challenges ahead, Ali is ready to take on this fresh journey with Nusrat. And perhaps, his mindfulness vouches for the smooth sailing ahead.
