In a recent interview with AARP The Magazine for their October/November 2024 issue, actor Samuel L. Jackson reflected on his long-standing marriage to LaTanya Richardson Jackson. The couple, who celebrated 44 years of marriage in August, have weathered their share of difficulties. Jackson admitted, "It takes a lot of tolerance, because everybody’s got flaws, and not giving up when it would be easy to give up." He added that they’ve both made mistakes but have always focused on working through their problems together.

Jackson further explained how his busy work schedule has been a source of tension but said his wife has learned to accept that he will "go to work all the time until, you know, it’s time." The couple shares a daughter, Zoe, 42, and have committed to staying together, with LaTanya previously stating in PEOPLE that they made a pact early on to stick by each other, no matter what.
