Sharjeel calls for strengthening Iran-Pakistan ties

A ceremony was held at the Iranian Consulate in Karachi to commemorate the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal, hosted by Iranian Consul General Hassan Nourian. Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, along with provincial ministers Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Saeed Ghani, Syed Zulfikar Shah, and others, attended the event.

In his address as the special guest, Sharjee Memon emphasised the significance of Rabi-ul-Awwal, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He spoke on the Prophet's teachings of compassion, justice, and unity, which continue to guide humanity.

Memon also touched on the deep and enduring relations between Pakistan and Iran, rooted in a shared cultural heritage, mutual respect, and cooperation. He underscored the rich traditions, literature, and art that connect both nations, noting that these shared experiences foster mutual understanding and offer valuable opportunities for collaboration through art, music, and literature.

Furthermore, Memon pointed to global challenges such as food security and sustainable development, stressing the importance of Pak-Iran cooperation in addressing these issues. He called for joint efforts in promoting agricultural expertise, resource exchange, and modern knowledge to tackle malnutrition and other shared concerns. The minister reaffirmed the need for ongoing dialogue and cooperation to strengthen economic partnerships, cultural exchanges, and mutual collaboration, concluding with a renewed commitment to enhancing Pak-Iran relations.
