Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece stands as the longest-running and most peculiar manga series in mainstream media, and its oddities are often showcased in Oda's SBS (Shitsumon o Boshū Suru) columns.

These regular Q&A sessions provide insights into the world of One Piece while answering fan questions, often confirming strange details about the characters and the series' world.

One notable fact confirmed by Oda is that there are no plans for any romantic relationships among the Straw Hat Pirates. This was revealed in SBS Volume 34, where Oda emphasized that One Piece focuses on friendship bonds rather than romance.

Despite this, outside characters, such as Boa Hancock, are still deeply in love with Luffy, even though no romantic feelings are reciprocated by him or his crewmates.

Another quirky confirmation from Oda concerns character birthdays. Although seemingly trivial, fans are curious about these details, and some of the dates have been humorously chosen, while others are fan-suggested, like Nico Robin’s, confirmed in SBS Vol 25.

Perhaps the strangest fact Oda has clarified is that Devil Fruit powers can affect the user’s private parts, as he’s confirmed on multiple occasions.

Though not explicitly shown in the manga, Oda consistently answers these X-rated questions in the SBS columns, leaving readers both amused and bewildered by the lengths he goes to clarify the lore.
