Over 400 artists from 40 countries coming to city

Sindh govt to host 35-day World Culture Festival from Sept 26

KARACHI:

Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Asif Hyder Shah announced that the 35-day World Culture Festival Karachi will commence on September 26. The event is fully supported and owned by the Sindh government. This landmark cultural event, making its debut in the country, will feature over 400 artists from 40 countries, including Europe, America, Africa, and Arab nations. The festival will showcase a diverse range of performances, including Sindhi folk singers and indigenous musical instruments, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of the region.

During a high-level meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary Sindh, various aspects of security and arrangements for the festival were discussed with Additional Chief Secretary Home Muhammad Iqbal Memon, President Arts Council Karachi Muhammad Ahmed Shah, Additional I.G. Karachi Javed Alam Odho, Secretary of Universities Muhammad Abbas Baloch, Secretary of Implementation and Coordination, Acting Commissioner Karachi, Deputy Commissioner South, and representatives from Airport Security Force.
