Notable Pakistani actors Ayeza Khan, Kubra Khan, and Sarah Khan all took a flight to the UK to attend a Meet & Greet organised by a few collaborative parties. Aside from being an interactive session between the celebrities and their fans, the Meet & Greet was also focused on raising funds for the Palestinian cause.

Mere Paas Tum Ho actor Ayeza Khan recently uploaded a self-video clip on her Instagram account, speaking at length about the cause that has been a global concern for the past year and a calamitous humanitarian crisis for much longer.

Referencing the completion of the event in her video, Ayeza said, "Thank you very much for showing up and supporting the cause for Palestine. It's been 11 months now yet whatever is happening in Palestine, we can all see that on social media. It's actually very sad that after all this time, we still haven't been able to do anything for those people. Even now, we are striving to do the best we can."

The actor added, "I would also like to request all of you to please donate to Palestine and do however much you can, through whichever organisation you trust. Please keep doing what is possible for you. We mustn't put an end to our efforts. We must keep going until the day we see Palestine rise as a free state again."

"Please don't let your efforts cease, and I will strive to do the same on my end," she vowed. "Thank you for attending and supporting our event. I hope that we never put an end to our personal efforts towards the cause, and stand as one united force for Palestine."

Call to the cause

Earlier on Instagram, the actors posted details of the Meet & Greet, urging enthusiasts to do their part in making a change. The caption under Ayeza's post read, "Come join me in Manchester for a fundraising event for the people of Palestine. I look forward to meeting you guys, all for a good cause. See you guys very soon!"

In a different post, she shared, "Are you ready? I am super excited to meet all my UK fans. Thank you for messaging and waiting for my next meetups. I know my fans really want to know me as a person because they don't see me giving interviews anywhere. But I promise, I will be spending a beautiful and unforgettable evening with all of you."

Similarly, even Kubra Khan partook in a promotional video for the event, stating, "Of course we can't be there on ground to help, but this is our little effort to make whatever little difference we can and help as much as we can as human beings."

Post-event reflections

Later, the Na Maloom Afraad actor posted a reel snapshot of the event, where she advanced to the stage with her studded peers in tow. The reel displayed glimpses of Kubra speaking on stage and engaging in a photography session with her fans. The event was filled to the brim with enthusiasts and supporters of the cause.

Kubra's caption stressed, "I said it before and I'll say it again. In the times we're in, it takes another level of bravery to come and openly support a cause that's under so much heat worldwide and put humanity first." She expressed her wholehearted gratitude for those who helped organise the event. "All the sponsors who helped making this event possible and all those who donated, may your good deeds be accepted."

She further praised the brand that designed her clothes by shedding light on the thematic intent behind it. All the colours of her outfit were representative of some aspect of the cause, from the green fields and the white deeds to the black battles and the red swords. Palestine's name was stitched to her complementary green clutch. "I pray that this beautiful land blooms again with the blessings of Allah," she wrote.

Hum Tum actor Sarah Khan also took to Instagram to reflect on the event's proceedings once it was done and dusted. "Another fabulous event in London, raising money for Palestine. It was amazing to meet everyone that came for the Meet & Greet. Thank you all for raising funds at the last two events," she expressed in her latest post.

Even during the gathering, as Sarah stood up to explain the message behind her dress, she said, "I wish for Palestine to one day be as free as the birds and the animals of the world."

The initiative arranged by these parties was a necessary pursuit in times when the war on Palestine has become incessantly brutal. Perhaps, this will serve as motivation for others in the industry to raise their voices against the occupation that has weighed down the war-torn state for decades.
