Music producer Pharrell Williams shared his frustration with celebrities endorsing political candidates, saying he finds such actions "annoying" and unnecessary. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Williams explained, "I don’t do politics. In fact, I get annoyed sometimes when I see celebrities trying to tell you [who to vote for]." His remarks came in response to a question about whether he would permit presidential candidates to use his music in their campaigns.

Pop star Taylor Swift's recent endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris has sparked mixed reactions, but Williams remains firm in his stance against celebrity endorsements. He said, "There are celebrities that I respect that have an opinion, but not all of them… ‘What the heck? Shut up. Nobody asked you.’"

The producer emphasized that while he cares deeply about the country and his community, he prefers to focus on action over public endorsements. Williams' comments follow a series of copyright infringement lawsuits from artists, including The White Stripes, against political campaigns using their music without permission.
