Pakistan’s Ahsan Ayaz has earned a spot in the final of the 247 International Squash Championship, currently taking place in the United States. Ayaz performed in the semi-finals, defeating Egypt’s Karim Al-Barbary in straight sets, 3-0.

Ahsan won the match with scores of 11-3, 11-7, and 11-0, showcasing his superior form.

His victory followed another dominant performance in the quarter-finals, where he triumphed over fellow countryman Fawad Khalil, winning 11-7, 11-5, and 11-5.

As the second seed, Ahsan will now face Egypt’s third seed, Mohamed Sharaf, in the final.

The total prize money for the 247 International Squash Championship is $3,000.

Ahsan Ayaz’s advancement to the final further highlights his growing reputation in international squash, with hopes for another victory to add to his list of accomplishments.

Previously, Ahsan had also advanced to the final of the Colleyville Open Squash tournament after a dramatic semi-final win.

In a gripping match, Ahsan overcame Malaysia’s Yi Zhiayi Siu with a 2-3 victory. Despite trailing 0-2, Ayaz mounted a stunning comeback, securing the win with scores of 11-8, 11-2, 10-12, 6-11, and 9-11.

Hailing from Peshawar, Ahsan has secured the national junior championship title 25 times across various age categories.

He has won several prestigious international tournaments, including the PSA Malaysian Tour-4 Championship and the PSA ISAM Pro-Open trophy in California.

In 2016, he was also crowned the world junior squash champion.
